May Events

The month of May is always very busy.  Janey had her last softball game the first week of May.  She really enjoyed playing, and is already talking about next year.

Field day was at the beginning of May this year because last year it was extremely hot by the end of May.  This was the first field day for both girls.  Mary Varner was out of town her Kindergarten year, and last year she chose to go to Janey's VPK graduation instead of field day.  I enjoyed going to watch both girls participate in all the different games.

The Kindergarten went on a field trip to the strawberry patch.  We had a great time picking strawberries, eating homemade strawberry frozen yogart, and having a picnic lunch.

Jim took the Friday before Memorial Day off, and we went on a date day to the beach.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and the Memorial day crowds had not descended onto the beach yet so we did not have to deal with bad crowded beaches!!

BB drove down on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend to visit for a few days.  She always promises the girls a trip to Ihop for smiley face pancakes, and then  to the nail place to get their nails painted which happens to be next door to the Ihop!  We had a great visit, and fun time with BB!! 

Charlie turned one on May 25 th.  We gave him a new monkey toy that the girls picked out, and a chew bone.
