5 months old and on a roll

Janey is 5 months old today, and just over the weekend she has started to roll everywhere!! Yes, she is mobile now! For a couple of weeks she has been rolling once or twice here and there, but this weekend she put it all together!! She rolls all over the room, and get real frustrated when she gets stopped by the couch or a table! Since she has found this new freedom, the swing and bouncy seat are not much fun anymore... all she wants to do is roll!

Birthday Fun!!

Friday was Jim's birthday, so we made cupcakes (MV's favorite) and she helped me put on the icing (I think there was more icing than cupcake when she finished), and when Jim got home we had a little birthday celebration! Saturday, we celebrated Mary Varner's birthday which is this week by inviting two of her friends to go to Build-a-Bear workshop! It was a little overwhelming at first for her but she soon got the hang of it and was very excited. She picked out the pink unicorn for her animal and dressed her up in a pretty sparkley dress and of course pink shoes. Every unicorn needs pink shoes!! When we got to the part where you fill out the birth certificate and name your animal....Mary Varner (even though I tried to get her to name her a real name)named her unicorn "Unicorney"!! She does this with all her stuffed animals...she calls them what they are like pup pup,lamby, Valentine lion (she got it for Valentines)etc...

Anyway, I did not get as many pics as I would have liked to because trying to help her make her animal, take pictures, get video, and tend to Janey was alot for Jim and myself to do all at once! It was a great day, and Mary Varner says she LOVES Unicorny "sooo much"!

Here are some pictures from the last week! Mary Varner loves to "help" give Janey a bath, and as you can see Janey loves it too! Janey's 4 month stats when we went to her 4 month check up were 15 lbs 2 ounces (75%), 22 1/2 inches (50%). She still does not enjoy her bottle much, but the doc. said that we can start cereal and vegs. now so maybe she will like that! Mary Varner is getting ready to turn 3 in a couple of weeks. I can not believe it! We are planning on taking her with a few of her little friends to build-a-bear workshop for her birthday! I think that she is going to enjoy it. Some Mary Varnerisms lately have been: 1) she describes things as fabulous and beautiful 2) she say "oh my dosh" which neither Jim or I like much 3) she make up these lavish stories with make believe people 4) She knows her left and right hands 5)now that there is a baby in the house she always talks about when she is going to have a baby....she is going to do....

4 months old

Janey is 4 months old already!!! She is really getting a personality and is happy when she can sit up and look around. I pulled the Bumbo seat out last night just to see if she would like it and she loved it!! She also loves to take a bath, and we have video of it, but she kicks so much that we could not keep the wash cloth in the "areas" that needed to be covered so we decided not to put it on the blog!!
