Lunch with our little turkey

Mary Varner's preschool had a Family Thanksgiving Lunch/ Program this past Thursday! We had a great time seeing her sing her Thanksgiving songs with her little class, and she was sooo excited that we were eating lunch with her at school!!

Janey's Baptism

This past Sunday we had Janey's Baptism. All the grandparents came in town for the weekend, and we had a very special time with family. Janey was so funny during the baptism because she kept running her hands through our pastor's beard, and she pulled his microphone thing off of his shirt. Once it was time for us to sit down, the pastor took the microphone back and that is when Janey went into meltdown! Also, Mary Varner did very good standing still until she realized that the whole church was looking at us so she started pulling on my dress for me to pick her up. Overall it went smooth, and I had to fight back the tears as I saw my precious little baby being baptized as one of God's covenant children. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Bathing Babes

This was the second attempt to bathe the girls together! It is a little difficult still for Janey because she is not steady enough. I have a bath seat but it has this arm type thing that hooks to the side of the tub and our tub sides are too wide for it! Anyway, we will probably wait a little while before we do this again...Janey needs to be a little less wobbly!!

Trying to get a good picture of both girls is almost impossible! I am sure it will not get any easier the older Janey gets....oh well we will look back one day and laugh! Janey is cutting her bottom two teeth, they are just barely through the gums so you cannot see them when she smiles. I am a little sad because I just love those toothless grins.

Our little Artist

While I was cooking supper last night, MV was in the kitchen drawing with her markers like she does often. I asked her what she was drawing and she responded "A picture of you and daddy". I did not think anything about it and finished up. When I walked over to her this is what she had drawn!! I was AMAZED that she had drawn such a good picture. We have not ever practiced drawing faces or people and keep in mind that she just turned three just over a month ago. Jim and I were so proud of the picture that we had to put it up on the fridge. We may have a little artist on our hands!!!

Happy Halloween

We did not know if we were going to participate in trick or treating because of Mary Varner being soooo scared of "monsters and ghosteses", but she informed me on Monday that she wanted to dress up like a princess and Janey a pumpkin and go to people's door and get candy. So, off I went to K-mart to find a princess and pumpkin costume. I found the princess off the bat but the infant pumpkin was sold out so Janey was a duck ( which I like better anyway)!!! Mary Varner had alot of fun except for when these people on a motorcycle came down the street dressed in a detailed gorilla costume and some other scary looking creature. The rest of the evening she kept saying "I did not like that gorilla man"! After going around to the neighbors houses, we came home and Mary Varner LOVED handing out the candy at the house just as much or more than getting candy herself!!
