Piano-student day

Mary Varner participated in what the piano world calls, student day.  She played two pieces by memory, and was judged by the state board of music teachers on different levels.  All of the judging and test taking (a written and oral test on beginner and level one piano theory) was done in private.  Once all the students from the area finished with all the testing, we (the parents) got to hear all their pieces. Here is Mary Varner performing one of her songs, " Winter Wind."  She scored 100% on all her testing, and was judged as top level for her category. She received a state honors medal, and certificate from the Florida State Music Teachers Association.  She has now officially moved into level two.  Tiffany, her piano teacher, said she has never had a student go from beginner to level two in less than a year like Mary Varner.  I told Mary Varner that she was going to have to teach me how to play someday.
