Birthday Party

We had Janey's birthday party this past Saturday.  It was originally planned to be at the Children's Park, but due to thunderstorms we moved it to the church at the last minute.  Janey still had a great time playing with her friends from her preschool class, church, and ballet.  I thought we (Jim and I) were going to have to come up with games to keep things moving along, but we pulled out all the play equipment and let the children have their own fun.  Also, before the rain started we went out to the church playground to play before singing and having cupcakes. I was pleased with how much fun everyone had even though it was not the original plan.

Janey and her sweet friend,  Cora.  These two are only 1 day apart, and I have birthday pictures from them together on their first birthday and now on their fifth.

Tug of war (sort of)

Duck, Duck, Goose

Some of the older siblings (all friends too) tried to build a pyramid but kept collapsing.
Janey wanted her own fish like Mary Varner got when she turned five from Jim and myself.  This is her fish, Dory, named after the blue fish on Finding Nemo.
