Mary Varner had her appointment yesterday to get her leg x-ray done to see if her bone was healed enough to get her cast off. As you can see in the pictures, the x-ray showed a healed leg. The cutting off of the cast was very impressive. The saw they use can cut through cast material, but it can not cut skin. The tech demonstrated this on his own arm before starting. (to ease Mary Varner's worries and mine). The saw was VERY loud, and startled Janey a little right when he turned it on. The doctor asked if we wanted to keep the cast, and I told him no thank you! I guess some people like to keep them, but Mary Varner's was super nasty and stinky!!
She can walk, but her leg is VERY weak (see video), and will take a little while to build back up! We are all glad to have this "adventure" behind us!
