1st Family Camping Trip

We have been talking and planning a camping trip with John, Rena, Ben and Mollie for the past few months. Last Wednesday, after MV's graduation, John and his family drove down. We loaded up, and went to Topsail State Park in Sandestin. I have to admit that it was a much better experience than I was expecting it to be. Jim and I have lots of friends that went on a camping trip last May, and were telling us what a nightmare it was so I was very hesitant. Anyway, yes it was very hot during the day, but we just tried to stay in the water (beach or pool) as much as possible. I think that it is safe to say that we all had a good time, and I know the children loved every minute of it. It really was great to see these cousins making such wonderful memories together. The first night, we ordered pizza because of needing to get setup, but we built a fire so that we could make s'mores.
