Strawberry Patch

I went with Mary Varner, and her class to Akers Strawberry Patch on Monday. This is a farm about 30 minutes from Niceville that opens to the public to pick fresh strawberries. It was one of the hottest days this season on Monday, so we all were ringing wet once we finished picking our strawberries(it still was FUN). The faculty at the strawberry patch served us frozen strawberry yogart made with their strawberries once we all finished which cooled us down. We then headed over to a playground/park area to eat picnic lunches and play. Once we got home, Mary Varner was very excited to eat some of the strawberries she picked with supper that night.

She kept saying,"Wow, look at this big red one, Mama!!"
