This year Janey and MV had field day on different days because they split the lower and upper elementary onto different days. So, I got to enjoy each girl on each of their field days instead of going back and forth trying to watch both girls on the same day.
| Janey got second place in the hula hoop competition. Her friend, Hope, beat her by just a few seconds |
| Janey's class won first place in the tug of war competition for the entire first grade! |
| Running the relay |
| After the field games were done, we joined up with Aubrey and her mama at McD's for a late lunch! |
| MV and Morgan are ready for field day to start!! |
| MV trying her best in the tug of war. Her class did not place this year. |
| It is hard to see, but if you look close you can see some really long legs running the relay!! |
| Having a Kona Ice treat to cool off in between games!! |
| MV wanted to try to hula hoop together. It was not successful at all! |
| Both girls danced in the opening song with The Calling Christian Dance Company in their big end of the year production. |
| Mary Varner interviewed with a few of our Elders in our church about her faith in Jesus about a month ago. On the Sunday of Mother's Day, May 8, she was brought in front of the church to make her public profession of her belief in Jesus as her personal Savior! We are rejoicing as we see her faith grow, and her confidence in that faith overflows!! |
| We finished up a great Mother's Day with supper at LuLu's on the bay. We enjoyed the beautiful weather, and the fun activities while we waited for our table. |
| Mary Varner's class picked different historical people, and had a "wax museum" presentation of that person. Mary Varner was Pablo Picasso. She enjoyed learning about Pablo and his art. Each student had a pretend button that you would push to make the wax person talk. She said she got tired of her speech after her button had been pushed over 100 times throughout the time they had the museum up for the other students in the school to come walk through. |
