A big group of us from church went to the zoo last week. We went on a Friday so that all the preschool kids(Mary Varner and friends) could go too. We do not have a zoo in the town that we live in so we have to drive a little over an hour to get to the zoo in Gulf Breeze. I realized that day that I think this may have been the first real zoo that Janey has ever been too. She has been to a few small petting zoo type things, but not a real zoo. We had a great time feeding the goats, giraffes, and ducks. The girls were fascinated with the peacocks and gobbler turkeys that roamed freely around the zoo. After a few hours walking around looking at all the animals, we all setup our picnic lunches outside the zoo for a late lunch. After our lunch, we packed up and headed back home. I made a promise to the girls that we would go back again in the spring.
