Pierced Ears

  On New Years Eve, I took Mary Varner to Claire's where she picked sapphire (her birthstone) stud earrings, and used her gift card to get her ears pierced.  I was very nervous because there was only one lady working that day(meaning they could not pierce both at the same time), so she had to pierce one ear at a time.  I secretly prayed that the first one would not be too painful, or cause a panic so she would actually get the second one done.  Well, she did not even flinch.  She said it hurt for just a second, and it was not a big deal at all!!   She has to wear the sapphire earrings for six weeks, and then she can take them out to wear other ones.
