Lots of fun going on around here!!

It has been 11 days since my last post, and our schedule has been packed full of all sorts of fun stuff.  Here is just a glimpse into some of the activities we have had going on....

Mary Varner is starting piano lessons next week.  Papa Doc, K'K', and B'B' all went in together and got  the electric keyboard, stand, and bench that she will use to get started(the first year or two ) on learning how to play.  This was a very nice and needed early birthday present from those grandparents. Both girls have been "practicing" on it everyday.

Janey made a box bed out of the box that the keyboard came in.  She and her babies enjoyed many "naps" in it.

The girls' ballet studio performed at  Springfest again this year at the Harborwalk Village.  Mary Varner and Tara are in ballet and Jazz together.  We are going to miss Tara when her family moves this summer.

Janey had some stage freight issues during The Nutcracker at Christmas.  Well, she did awesome at this performance and is looking forward to the recital this weekend!!

Every year face painting is a must at Springfest.

The stilt man was so tall!!

I bought this 10ft easy set pool on clearance at our Kmart that is going out of business.  The little baby pool we have been using the last couple of years was getting too small for our fast growing children.  We measured our deck and it was just barely big enough to put the pool on it (as to not kill grass).  It has a small pump that holds chlorine tablets, and it is big enough for our whole family to get in plus more.   It is about two and a half feet deep so Janey can actually swim around in it.  The girls have been swimming everyday (other than the rainy days) since we put it up. I think this is going to be a well used purchase.

We went to the beach with our neighbors, the Christensen family, on Memorial Day.  It is usually against our best judgement to go to the beach on a holiday, but we got there at 9:30 in the morning to beat the crowd.  We stayed until a little after lunch.  Although it ended up getting crowded on the beach around lunch,  we did not have bad traffic getting back home.  Savannah (Janey's good friend) and her sweet family(who are also friends with the Christensens) happen to be at the beach too.  We had a great day with all our friends!

The last day of VPK for Janey was a water fun day.  The kids had a great time riding tricycles through the "car wash"
