Santa Visit

We took the girls to see the "real" Santa(as Mary Varner pointed out) at Bass Pro Saturday. Mary Varner has realized that some Santas are just men dressed up with fake beards, but this one was REAL!! Jim went to check out the line situation (last year was a long wait) while I was finishing up with the girls at a birthday party. He called me to say that the wait was not that long, and that he was going to go ahead and get in line. We met up with him, and after Santa took a break we finally got to have our turn. Mary Varner told him that she wanted a birdhouse and a styling head, and Janey told him at least 3 times that she wanted a biby(baby) and a stolla (a.k.a. stroller). This was the first year in at least 4, maybe 5 years where we did not have one tear shed, and both girls were excited! I have to admit that I was thankful, but also reflective in the fact that those typical "baby crying in Santa's lap" days have already passed! Janey was telling everyone at church today about seeing "Santa Paws". It is so fun to see how excited both girls are this year!!
