Our church host a couple of groups from Palmer Home out of Columbus, Mississippi every year. One of the annual activities we have that weekend is a covered dish dinner, and a "talent" show at the church. This year Mary Varner really wanted to participate. I started trying to think of what she could do for the talent show. Well, one evening she was hula hooping in the family room, and she kept going and going. I really think that she hula hooped for at least 5 minutes without dropping. That is when we decided that she should hula hoop in the talent show. She got really excited about it, and practiced alot. When the night finally arrived, she was a little nervous, and asked Jim if he would come up there with her. Overall, she did great. She dropped it a few time at the beginning and was being really silly, but once she got it going she kept it up!
At the end of the talent show, they asked if anyone else wanted to participate. Janey started saying, "me want to sing"...so she went up and started singing "Jesus loves Me", with the help of everyone there.
