Tooth Fairy

After eating her supper Saturday night, Mary Varner started whining and complaining about her tooth. I thought it was just bothering her a little bit because it has been loose for about a month. Well, I looked in her mouth, and it was very loose and bleeding. She got upset because she just did not know what to expect even though we talked about it when the dentist told us it was getting loose about 6 weeks ago. After confirmation from Jim, John, Rena and myself about how we all had lost our teeth, and how cool it is to have the tooth fairy come, she let me put a wet paper towel in her mouth. At first I thought that I would just move it a little and see what happened, but as soon as I move it just a little it came out. Mary Varner went from crying to being vey excited within a few minutes. She called all the grandparents to tell them about this big milestone. The tooth fairy brought 2 dollars since it was her first tooth ($1 for rest), and the money had "fairy dust" on it! I am still trying to get used to seeing her with a missing tooth...she looks so much older now!

Holding up her tooth right after it came out!!

All smiles!!
