She is double digits!!

Mary Varner's birthday weekend started out with me eating lunch with her at school, and taking cupcakes for her class. 

On Saturday September 3, we took seven girls to the Red Brick pizza place to eat supper. Once we were done eating supper and  singing Happy Birthday, BB and I took the group shopping around The Commons. Jim and Janey who hate to shop decided to go ride go carts instead. All of the girls had a great time finding bargains with the money they brought to shop with. It was a great evening, and I loved seeing the sweet girls having so much fun together. 

I can not believe she is TEN!

Jim turns 40

Jim went with some guys to the shooting range on the Saturday afternoon before his birthday. When he got home he was surprised to see a crowd of friends at our house that came to celebrate his big day!! The girls and I gave him a 1976 Vintage shirt, and Janey made him a birthday crown to wear. We had a great time celebrating!!

Meet the Teacher

We had school orientation/ meet the teacher on Monday last week. Janey is in Ms. Gal's home room, and switches into Ms. Sykes room midday. MV had Ms. Gal as one of her kindergarten teachers a few years ago. We love Mrs. Gal.

MV has Mrs. Allard for her home room teacher this year. MV says she is very funny!! She also has Mrs. Branson for Math and Science.

Lost teeth

Janey has a super small mouth. A few of her permanent teeth were coming in behind her baby teeth, and a couple of others according to the X-ray had NO space to come in. She ended up having seven teeth pulled. This was her the evening after the pulling happened with her swollen face telling me the tooth fairy should bring her more than $1 per tooth. She did get a little more than that from the fairy that night. 

Gulf Shores

We spent a few nights in Gulf Shores with Papa Doc, KK, and Brad's family the last weekend in July. The waves were great this time for riding the boogie boards. All the girls( and Hayden joined in too), had a blast riding the waves!

We all went to a little seafood restaurant for supper one night. The food was amazing!!

13 years

Jim and I celebrated our 13th wedding on July 19. We had a fun date night out to eat, and a ride in the corvette. 

Time with the Jacksons

Our good friends, Hank and Wanda Jackson  with their boys, Hank and Josh came ito visit family and friends for a few days. We were excited to have them come over for supper one night. We ended our visit with a trip to get frozen yogurt. It is so great to see all the kids pick up right were they left off a couple of years ago when they lived here.
