Silly pics and a new bike!

MV was playing around with my iPad and took this silly yet kinda cool picture. 

Mary Varner used her Visa gift card she got for Christmas from Papa Doc and Kay Kay to purchase this new bike. She has been thinking and trying to decide since Christmas what she was going to get with her card. One day after riding bikes, I realized she had pretty much grown out of her bike. I  suggested she use her card for a new bike. She agreed, and began looking online for the " perfect" bike. She picked this shiny lavender cruiser, and we went last weekend to buy it!

Last week was the 100th day of school. Both grirls enjoyed dressing up in their version of a 100 year old person.

All dressed up and so excited about going to the dance with Daddy! 

I did not attend this year, so these are a couple of pics Jim got while at the dance. Some of our youth were in charge of taking pictures at the dance so I plan to look through those once they upload them. Everyone had a great time, and there was a great response from the community as well!! 

January happenings

We took the girls bowling at Uncle Bucks Fish Bowl a couple of weekends ago. This restaurant/ bowling ally opened over the summer last year, but we have not yet gone because the tourists had it packed. Jim won our game, MV was second, Janey got third place, and I was last! We really had a good time though.

As you can see, little ones could use these to help them get their ball down... Otherwise they did not have enough muscle to really make anything happen. 

Charlie can give some of the most pitiful faces when he wants food or attention. 

Jim's company had an Awards banquet last weekend. The theme was black and white. We got all dressed up in our black and white, and enjoyed a night out!

Christmas 2015

When Jim got home from his business trip, he was honored to put the angel on the tree!

Jim and I decided to get the girls a trampoline for Christmas this year!  It has been a big hit, and everyday that it is not raining they are jumping!!

Jim was excited that the weight limit still allowed him to be able to jump too.

We drove to Mississippi on Christmas Eve.  Janey had some reindeer food from school that both girls put out on Grandaddy and Nana's yard.

Jim read the Christmas story from Luke in the Bible, and "Twas the night before Christmas" before the girls went to bed.

Christmas morning, everyone woke up so excited to see what Santa brought them.  Santa brought MV a skateboard, a ballgown, and some American Girl doll clothes and accessories.

We went to eat Christmas lunch at Brad's house this year with B'B'. 



A couple of days after Christmas the girls and I joined up with Jim at the camp.  Everyone had a great time riding four wheelers, and the mule.  Mary Varner even drove the mule all by herself. 

December activities

We decorated the Christmas tree on Saturday morning after Thanksgiving. 

The finished tree except for the angel. The girls wanted Jim( who was out of town for work), to put that up when he got back. 

Last weekend, the girls were in their dance studio's performance of "The Nutcracker".

MV was a mouse in the battle scene, and Janey was a baker in the sugar plum scene.

When you go see Santa on a weekday right after school there is no line, and he talks to you a long time about what you want him to bring. 

Both girls had Christmas parties this week. MV's was on Tuesday morning so I could not go this year. Janey's was on Wednesday so I was excited to join in the fun!!
