New Pics

Here are some pictures of MV and Jim's favorite activity to do on Saturday afternoon after Jim does yard work! MV thinks that it is so much fun to pour water all over daddy, and it helps daddy cool down too.

Also, I took some pictures of the girls playing the other day! Janey is getting to where she can do little push ups when she is on her belly, and as you can see MV loves her "soooo much" as she says!

1st trip to Mississippi

Janey took her first trip to Mississippi last week to meet all of her family! We had a great time spending time with all our family and friends! Janey also turned 3months old while we were there! Time is flying already!!! Mary Varner also enjoyed playing with her cousins, and even went to a pampered princess party! She was in heaven!

It has been awhile....

I know it has been awhile since I have blogged, but managing two kids and the daily chores have been keeping me really busy! The girls are doing good, MV is a typical active almost 3 year old, and Janey is growing (12 lbs 2 ounces) last week when we went to a dr. appt. Jim's mom and my mom came for a few days over the last week and a half to give me some extra help, and I appreciate it so much!! Here are some pictures that we took on my birthday and on Father's day this past weekend.

Sweet moments

Janey lights up anytime Mary Varner is around!! It is the sweetest thing to see! The other night MV got down on the play mat with her and Janey started smiling and cooing like crazy! Notice the huge mosquito bite on MV's face...they just eat her up anytime she is outside!!!

8 weeks old

Janey is 8 weeks old (2 months on the 31st) and she is doing great! We went for her 2 month dr. appointment today and she weighs 10 lbs 14 ounces (50%), and is 22 inches long. She is smiling and cooing all the time now, and she has started sleeping through the night (10:00-6:30). We are still having some issues with her tummy when she takes a bottle, but other than that everything is moving right along. She also had her appointment with her cardiologist last week, and he said that the bicuspid valve she has is very common and that she will more than likely not have any trouble from it throughout her life. We will keep it monitored every 6 months for now! Here are some pictures I took the other day of her smiling and cooing. Her smile is so funny because she curls up one side of her face!

Janey's hair sticks straight up! It looks funny in a cute kinda way right now, but it will be interesting to see what it does as it starts to grow out!!

Sister Dresses

Here are the girls this morning in their first set of sister dresses!! Thanks Nana for making these cute pillowcase dresses for them, they got lots of compliments at church!!

Rolling over

Last weekend, Janey was having some "tummy time", when I got up to go put something in the kitchen. When I came back she was on her back! I thought at first that she must have just "accidentally" rolled over (meaning that she would not do it again), but I was wrong. Yesterday, I put her back on the mat and she did it almost immediately, so I went to get the camera. As soon as I put her on her belly she rolled over again and again(she is only 5 weeks old)!! I can not believe how strong she is. If you are wondering about the rash on her face, we finally figured out that she has a milk allergy and the rash is a symptom of that. We have gone to soy formula and the colic behavior seems to be getting a little bit better (fingers crossed)!!
