Straight Up!!!

Janey's hair sticks straight up! It looks funny in a cute kinda way right now, but it will be interesting to see what it does as it starts to grow out!!

Sister Dresses

Here are the girls this morning in their first set of sister dresses!! Thanks Nana for making these cute pillowcase dresses for them, they got lots of compliments at church!!

Rolling over

Last weekend, Janey was having some "tummy time", when I got up to go put something in the kitchen. When I came back she was on her back! I thought at first that she must have just "accidentally" rolled over (meaning that she would not do it again), but I was wrong. Yesterday, I put her back on the mat and she did it almost immediately, so I went to get the camera. As soon as I put her on her belly she rolled over again and again(she is only 5 weeks old)!! I can not believe how strong she is. If you are wondering about the rash on her face, we finally figured out that she has a milk allergy and the rash is a symptom of that. We have gone to soy formula and the colic behavior seems to be getting a little bit better (fingers crossed)!!

"Sing it wrong"????

Mary Varner LOVES to sing!! The other day she told me she wanted to sing me a song, went to get her "stage" a.k.a. step stool from the bathroom, and of course her pink sunglasses for the performance! I went to get the camera because I knew from her preparations that she was going to put on a show:) Anyway, when she got on her stage she just stood there, and I said, " Sing a song", and that is what she did. She sang part of the song "Sing, Sing a Song", at least she listened to what I told her to do!Literally!! (Notice how she moves her sunglasses down her nose to talk)

1 month old

Janey is 1 month old now! I know I posted a 3 week picture, but I just could not help myself and had to have an actual 1 month picture. I may start doing the sign thing so I can keep up with it better! She is doing very good, actually she slept through the night last night (10:00-6:00)!! I hope she makes this a habit very soon!! We are having some issues with fussiness and gas during the day, but I have changed her formula to the same kind MV was on and hopefully I will start to see a change soon! As you can see in the picture, she is starting to get a little chubby face, and loosing that newborn look!

Pink sunglasses

I finally bought MV some pink sunglasses!! Everyday for the past 2 or 3 weeks she has made comments about my sunglasses and how she wanted some pink sunglasses of her own. I got them yesterday and she has been wearing them since (except for bed and bath). She is so funny because when she has them on, she will move them down her nose to talk to you and then when she is done talking she will put them back. I guess she thinks that you can not see her if she does not move the glasses away from her eyes....it is hilarious to watch!!

She has been SOOO good these couple of weeks that we have been home! She loves being a big sister! The other day when I was getting the girls loaded in the car to take MV to her MDO, MV had the hiccups. Well, as soon as I got them in the car, Janey began to hiccup too. MV said ( with much excitement in her voice) "Momma, I shared my hiccups with Janey!" and looked at me like she was waiting for me to praise her for sharing. As I started laughing, I told her that she was such a sweet big sister for sharing her hiccups:)

3 weeks old

Janey was 3 weeks old yesterday!! I did not get to take a picture yesterday because I was in the pediatrician's office with Mary Varner and her double ear infection:( Yes, I know, it is always something!! Anyway, this morning after I gave Janey a bath, I dressed her up a little bit and had a little photo session. She is doing great, she is sleeping good (only gets up once at night) so far, and is starting to be awake a little bit more during the day! Mary Varner is doing great with her new role in the family. She gets a little jealous here and there, but nothing too bad. I was talking to MV at lunch yesterday about how me, daddy, her, and Janey are all a family and that this is our house that we live in and so on... and her comment back to me was, "Janey does not know us, she is just a baby". In a way she is right!! I just love how her little mind thinks!! Life with two is CRAZY, but I know that each day will get a little easier!!

1st Bath

These are some pictures from the other day when we gave Janey her first "bath" at home! Mary Varner was a great "helper" in putting soap bubbles all over Janey. As you can see in the pictures, Janey was NOT very happy about this activity!

Sing Easter Praises!!!

Hello everyone!! We are finally home, and getting stronger by the day!! I have more pictures to come, but finding the time and energy right now is not very easy! I took these pictures on Easter Sunday, our first day back home! We are so thankful to all of you for your prayers throughout this trial in our lives, and most of all we are so thankful to the Lord for answering our prayers!
