Easter 2008

Our family Easter pic this year is a true example of the stage of life that we are in. MV is constantly on the move and we are always chasing her around. On Easter morning before church we attempted to get a family picture, and here is the best one out of many many attempts!




This is the only other one we got of her in her Easter dress!

Fun with Easter Eggs, not with Easter Bunny!

On Saturday we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at Baytowne in Destin. Well, MV loved the eggs, but as you can see from the pics she was freaked out by the Easter bunny! For two days after that every time someone mentioned Easter or bunny in any kind of fashion she would start whining and saying "No bunny". I guess the big overstuffed bunny walking around does look a little freaky especially to a little one.

Cuteness!!

Well, I know that I take too many pictures now because when MV sees me with the camera she says "cheese". This picture actually caught her at the exact moment that she was saying cheese!



MV loves to point to her body parts when asked! Well, the other day I asked her where her bellybutton was and in response she pulled up her shirt and said "right there" in MV language.

Easter Eggs

We went over to a friend's house today to dye eggs for Easter! MV was very interested in the dye which she kept calling juice, and the eggs which she called "iggs". We only lost a few eggs to the girls playing ball with them, but all in all it was alot of fun!

18 months old!!

MV turned 18 months old last Tuesday! We had our 18 month old check-up this week and she still weighs 27 lbs (same as she did at 15 months),but she is now 35 inches tall. I realized on my way home from the doctor that my 18 month old is almost 3feet tall, and according to the doctor that is the average height of a 26 month old! I guess we are going to have a tall girl on our hands! Anyway, here are some pics from the other day when MV was "helping" me clean!! I hope she makes this a habit in the future.

We have a climber!!!

MV discovered the kitchen step stool the other night! As you can see she figured out how to use it in many different ways! I guess our pediatrician was right when he said putting things up high on counters is not exactly out of the reach of a toddler~ if they want it they will find a way to get it!!!

Puppy Love

MV loves Oscar and as you can see Oscar loves her too! A sniff to the back and a kiss in the face~ what more could you ask for!!

What's been going on???

The past couple of weeks have been very busy around here!! Nana and Grandaddy came to visit and stayed with MV while Momma and Daddy went on a much needed Valentine night away! MV really enjoyed going to the park and showing them all the neat things there is to do! She even showed them her "bubble dance"(the park has a bubble machine and when it comes on she dances). Also, as you can see in the pictures MV's hair is starting to get longer in the back, but seems to not be growing as fast in the front, so to try and avoid a mullet look we are trying new things with the hair! This was my first attempt at pigtails and although they looked better at the beginning of the day, by 5:30 p.m. when I took these pics it was all over!! The last pic was the other day when I put jeans on MV for the first time since she has been walking (7 months)! I know, I do not know why I never buy her jeans, except for the fact that until recently I would just buy those Carter's sets and jumpsuit type things! Check out the pose MV gives when I tell her to say cheese~ can we say drama queen!!!

First Day at "Wee School"

Today was MV's first day at Wee School! This is a Mother's Morning Out Program at the Baptist Church! As you can tell she was very excited about going and especially interested in her red lunch bag which she called a "purse". I think that the day was a success because when I picked her up she had grape jelly from her PB&J all over her shirt, her hair was messed up, and she came home and slept for 2 hours!!
